Brunei Darussalam record 20 new cases yesterday, of which 15 were local, and 5 were imported cases. This brings the total number of confirmed cases to 15,901.

The number of new cases was the result of 967 laboratory tests conducted in the past 24 hours. Therefore, the rate of the positive cases was at 1.7%.

Active cases currently hit 347 cases, meanwhile, 28 recovered cases were reported, bringing the total number of recovered cases in Brunei Darussalam to 15,452 cases

There was one case identified in Category 4 which requires oxygen assistance and under close monitoring. Meanwhile, no cases were found in Category 5. The bed occupancy rate in isolation centres nationwide is at 10.3%.

National Vaccination Status

As of January 16, 94.7% of the population has received one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, meanwhile individuals who have received two doses is now at 93.8%. The booster or the third doses is now reached 33.1%.

Violation restrictions

One violation of the directive nationwide were issued with compound that was carried out recently from 12 PM to 4 AM.
